We recognise the value Serving Personnel, both Regular and Reservists, veterans and military families contribute to our business and our country. They deserve our respect and support, and fair treatment.
As an ex-serviceman or woman, it can be difficult to make that transition from the military to civilian life. Getting a job may be one of the hurdles you have to overcome as some find it difficult to find employment and the right employer after leaving the forces.
Yet many businesses are missing out on this top talent due to a lack of knowledge about the military or negative misconceptions.

Many ex- servicemen and women don’t view their experience as being unique or impressive making it difficult to sell potential employers on that experience.
We at Involve Recruitment understand that these skills are transferable and directly applicable to our construction and rail partnerships and businesses.
We recognise the can-do attitude, determination and the transferable and life skills you bring with you from the armed services.
You have proven your mettle in mission critical situations demanding endurance, stamina, and flexibility. You may have overcome personal disabilities through strength and determination.
We recognise this and can do the right thing by helping advise and connect you to not only acquire certificates and up-skilling but supporting you in your placements. We can help you find your next role in the construction industry.
Case Study 'Ryan Jones, Owner The Involve Group'
I’m very proud to be a modern-day Veteran. I left the military in 2002 and in 2006 embarked on my transition into recruitment. Along with my colleague and fellow Director Daniel French I now have one of the top 50 fastest growth companies. Interestingly, a passion around people is what makes Involve Recruitment great; the military is no different. This made my transition easy and I suggest this alignment is a fundamental recipe for success. The shift was significant, yet subtle; mentally I had moved on to my world beyond the military and fully embraced the next adventure. It had happened almost effortlessly and I put this, in no small part, down to the business I had joined. A very important, and rather personal, part of my transition and journey into the commercial world struck me some months into running the business. For In the military, I had enjoyed getting up each morning with a huge enthusiasm and passion for what I did. I feared losing this after leaving and I realised this is or hasn’t been such an easy transition for some ex-forces.
So why hire a Veteran? I passionately believe Veterans are far broader and more rounded than any stereotype would have you believe. Veterans will have many, if not all, of the following:
A culture, behaviours and a positive growth mind-set designed for completing the mission / task.
Have significant people, communication and leadership training and experience.
Readily accept responsibility and step up… often generating innovative outcomes.
Have intuition baked in through training… it kept them alive.
Openly, and respectfully, speak up when something doesn’t look or feel right… and have an inquisitive mind-set.
Are finishers who get the task done.
Work incredibly hard with the right support and motivation.
Are adaptable self-starters, able to operate as a team or independent and are incredibly resilient.
Know hard work and often thrive amongst uncertainty and change.
Come with funding to acquire new skills and qualifications upon leaving the military.
And all these qualities need our support to nurture, retrain, upskill and help make the transition into civvy street easier.
